A surprise announcement was made at Mutsuki Heavy Industry's 30th anniversary celebration declaring the possibility of shuffling "Heavy Industries" away from the corporation's name. Product Strategy Officer Isao Mogami stated in an interview following the announcement, "We in the Product Strategy and Public Relations teams believe that with the new fields the corporation plans on entering, the title of 'Heavy Industry' would better fit as a subdivision of a new 'Mutsuki Group' or 'Mutsuki Corporation'."
